What is Counselling?

Counselling gives you the opportunity to explore and clarify ways of living in a more satisfying way. The counsellor’s role is to support your growth while respecting your values and personal resources.

We offer a low-cost, sliding scale service for adults (18+) in Dublin 12 and surrounding areas. Fees are agreed during the first session and paid directly to the therapist. A receipt is always provided.

We recommend an initial contract of 6 sessions (50 minutes each). After review, you may continue with further sessions if appropriate.

  • Attend weekly at your agreed time

  • Inform your therapist at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend

  • Missed sessions without notice must still be paid

  • Non-attendance for 3 consecutive weeks (without explanation) will result in contract review

Yes. All counselling is confidential under the ethical codes of IACP and IAHIP. The only exception is if there is a child protection concern — in such cases, we are required by law to inform TUSLA.
